Attorney Lawrence “Larry” Korn is a highly experienced criminal defense attorney with more than three decades of legal service, dedicated to protecting the rights of the accused. With a distinguished career spanning both Florida and Georgia, Larry has represented clients in nearly every kind of criminal case—from traffic offenses to death penalty trials—earning a reputation as a fearless and compassionate advocate.

Since 1989, Larry has made it his life’s work to stand against government overreach and ensure that every client receives the most zealous and ethical representation possible.

Career Marked by Justice and Advocacy

Larry’s legal journey began in Florida, where he clerked for Justice Gerald Kogan on the Florida Supreme Court. He went on to serve as an Assistant Public Defender in Florida’s 2nd Judicial Circuit, handling everything from juvenile offenses to serious felony cases. He defended clients in two separate death penalty cases, where, despite the state seeking capital punishment, neither client was sentenced to death—a testament to Larry’s unwavering dedication.

In Georgia, Larry built a respected solo practice based in Cobb County, defending clients charged with murder, major felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic offenses throughout the metro Atlanta area. He also served with the Georgia Justice Project, representing indigent clients in Fulton and DeKalb Counties, including serious charges like homicide and armed robbery.

In recent years, Larry served as a senior attorney with the Fulton County Public Defender’s Office, where he handled major felony and murder cases, and was promoted to Supervisor in 2020. Throughout his career, he has maintained an unwavering focus on protecting the rights of the most vulnerable and holding the justice system accountable to its ideals.

Academic and Professional Honors

Larry earned his Bachelor of Arts in History with Honors from Tulane University and theUniversity of Florida, and later received his J.D. from the Florida State University

College of Law. During law school, he served as Articles and Notes Editor on the FSU Law Review and participated in the Oxford University Summer Law Program at St. Edmund Hall in the United Kingdom.

His early academic success and editorial leadership set the stage for a career defined by intellectual rigor and an unshakable moral compass.
