CHEROKEE COUNTY – FREDERICK R. MANN JR of THE LAW OFFICES OF MATTHEW C. HINES LLC successfully resolved a criminal traffic court case yesterday in Canton Municipal Court in Canton, Georgia.
The client, an undocumented immigrant, was charged with:
- Driving Without a drivers license and
- Distracted Driving (Cell Phone Use)
It was her 2d No Valid DL Driving charge in 5 years. The judge accepted a plea of Guilty to the no drivers license charge and a plea of No Contest to the Distracted Driving Charge.
The fines totaling $1655 and 12 months misdemeanor probation, although he stated he normally insists on the 10 day mandatory jail term.
The client accepted the court’s sentence and did not go to jail
