Frederick R. Mann Jr of The Law Offices of Matthew C. Hines, LLC successfully resolved a case in Madison County where a 16 year old client had been charged last year with two counts of AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON.
The boy had accidentally fired a Chinese made air rifle he thought was unloaded in the direction of two teens on his porch. The caliber .177 pellet went into the liver of one of the boys on his porch, and remains there now.

Attorney Mann JR. was able to investigate and found out a .177 caliber pellet gun is not Considered a deadly weapon by Georgia firearms experts, and the accidental nature of the incident made it a misdemeanor of “reckless behavior” only.
Case Results
The client pled to two misdemeanor reckless behaviors and was placed on two years probation with consent of the victim.
