FORSYTH COUNTY – FREDERICK R. MANN JR. of THE LAW OFFICES OF MATTHEW C.HINES, LLC successfully resolved a traffic court case for his client this morning in Forsyth County State Court.

The client, a Colombian national who has formally applied for political asylum, had allegedly caused an accident by making a right turn at an intersection into the path of an oncoming car.

He had no valid driver’s license at the time.

Responding police arrested the defendant and charged him with:

The defendant’s Honda Accord was allegedly a total loss, but no injuries were noted by the police. The defendant pleaded guilty to the license charge (the failure to yield was merged, i.e., dismissed) and paid a total of $687.50 in fines and costs.

The 2 day jail requirement was waived, and no probation or community service was ordered. The defendant had voluntarily performed 68 hours of community service even before the case was called for a formal change of plea…
