DOUGLAS COUNTY – Frederick R. Mann Jr of The Law Offices of Matthew C. Hines, LLC successfully closed out the traffic court case of his client today in Douglass County, Georgia. The client, a chef at a downtown restaurant in Atlanta, allegedly took a young woman’s cell phone she had put down while shopping in  a store in Douglas County.

She later tracked the phone to the defendant’s residence, but he denied knowing anything about it. In fact he had been captured on the store’s surveillance tape taking the phone when it disappeared. The client was offered a PRETRIAL DIVERSION PROGRAM deal and accepted.

He must pay $300 by Dec 14 for the cost of the program, and return to court with proof he has worked 40 hours as a chef for a charity, and the case will then be dismissed. The client was very happy.
